Century Arms VSKA Black Semi Automatic Modern Sporting Rifle –  7.62x39mm – 10+1 Rounds – The VSKA has been re-engineered with critical components using machined S7 tool steel, a material so highly regarded for it’s ability to withstand heavy duty action. It features an all new bolt carrier, front trunnion, and feed ramp machined from S7 tool steel and specially heat treated for maximum durability. S7, often referred to as a Shock-Resisting Tool Steel, is commonly used for tools like chisels and jackhammer tips as it has maximum shock resistance and high compression strength, while retaining toughness. The front trunnion and bolt are machined from billet and exceeded the durability goals for the project.

California compliant design prevents the magazine release button from being engaged while fully assembled, locking the magazine into the receiver.  To release the magazine from the rifle, the shooter will be required separate the upper from the lower by pulling on an extended (rear) takedown pin with an attached cord to make the process easier.  Once the magazine has been released the rifle can be re-assembled and shot once again
